Excellent hotel, would use again. Great value, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, superb location. Room warm and comfortable, with plenty of space.

No view from room window, just frosted glass

Liked the little ferry ride to the Island - fun experience. Enjoyed our evening and morning walks around the island and to the windmill. Lovely setting. Good breakfast in the morning - liked the boat bar! Room was utilitarian, but clean and practical. Great location to cycle. Will definitely recommend this to friends. It was ideal for our little over night jaunt. Went to Kuekenhof Gardens and did some cycling in the area, drove down to this hotel for the night, the next day went on to Gouda and Kinderdijk.

Found the room to be a bit of a let down compared to the look of the rest of the hotel - no character. But, the room was very clean, comfortable and practical. Would have been nice to have the option of an evening meal at the hotel, but we walked to a nearby restaurant/pub for a fabulous meal that was very reasonably priced and very tasty!!

The island location made it the perfect place for a quiet relaxing break. The food was good, much better than I expected from a 2 star hotel and the cleanliness and ambience made me wish I could have stayed longer.

Regretfully, there are no facilities for the disabled or persons with limited mobility,Wheelchair access to the rooms is virtually impossible as there are no lifts and access to the two upper floors is via an exposed external spiral stairway.Visitors should be advised of this before making a reservaion.

    Quiet and rural surroundings

We found it difficult to get to places with the car and think the hotel could have had a few local maps.

Very friendly staff, beautiful location quirky in that you went back and across by tiny ferry. The village was clean and with plenty of resturants.

The rooms were very clean and tidy, but should consider having a fan in every room as it was very hot with only a small window to open

Friendly staff and owners, that went out of their way to make you more relaxed and welcom. Free maps and local advice on resturants and places of interest.

Not many of the windows opened for fresh air on the top floor, but this was mainly for safety sake.
